Our Story

Rooted in plants, guided by intuition.

I am originally from the beautiful Swiss Alps and grew up in Singapore, a childhood shaped by nature, ritual, and a deep connection to plants. Plants were never something distant or decorative; they were part of everyday life.

My mother cared for us with essential oils, herbal teas, and natural remedies, teaching me that caring for ourselves could be intuitive, and deeply connected to the natural world. Growing up in Asia also exposed me to traditional practices such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda, and to plant traditions that honour the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

Holistic living was never a trend for me; it was simply the way I was raised. However, it wasn’t until 2025 that herbalism became a conscious practice in my life. After completing my first certification in herbalism, my relationship with plants deepened into something more intentional, respectful, and alive.

As I immersed myself further in herbalism, I began noticing that plant knowledge could sometimes feel distant or inaccessible, as though it belonged only to specialists rather than being part of the everyday relationship people have always shared with plants.

Yet for generations, herbal traditions were passed down through families and communities through observation, experience, and a deep connection with the natural world.

Ella’s Herbs was born from a desire to make herbalism feel more open, transparent, and approachable.

I want to bring you along on this journey: to share the plants behind each formulation, the traditions that inspire them, and the care that goes into creating each product. My hope is to help people reconnect with this knowledge and feel more informed and empowered in their own wellness choices.

In many ways, I didn’t choose this path; the plants called me into it. What began as curiosity became a quiet knowing. Working with herbs felt intuitive, ancestral, and grounding — as if I was being invited to listen, learn, and honour their wisdom.

Today, I formulate small-batch botanical products with carefully selected ingredients, guided by both traditional herbal knowledge and modern understanding. Each formulation is created with care by me as a certified herbalist, then crafted into a finished product in Switzerland.
